I was in the process of putting some of my live rock into a new tank I am putting together and noticed these wierd things all over my rocks I have never seen them before I was wondering if anyone knew anything about them.

My guess is scypha sponges.

look like sponges to me too, maybe "Qtip" sponges ??

I agree on sponge. They are great filter feeders!

oh ok cool I was hoping they are not bad they are popping up all over I even had them on my powerheads

IME they tend to wax and wane.
