I woke up this morning to find my Blue Palm with this stringy yellow stuff coming out of its pores. Anyone know what this is? Is it trying to reproduce or dying?

thats what I thought when they were sticking out just a lil bit last nite. But this morning they are in a huge tangled mess, and some of them even came off and are on an adjacent piece of rockwork.

Well as of today, it has shedded its "heads" again. I hope they regrow once more, I have been unable to find many people who have experience with it.

Dunno what's going on with it, but from what I have found, they're non photosynthetic, require suplimental feeding, and are difficult to keep.

Neat looking though!

Yea, I couldnt find out much about them good or bad in terms of survivability. So I took a chance and bought it just because it was soo unusual and I didn't think i would come across another again. I have been target feeding it with cyclopeeze twice a week as well as adding phyto to the tank once a week.
