Its pretty hot right now in orange county and my tank is getting up to about 81 degrees. is that too hot for my firefish, royal gramma, and six line? i also have 1 mushroom coral in there. if it is to hot is there any ways i can cool it down easily without buying a cooler? right now i have been puting frozen water bottles in there to help cool it down, but that doesn't seem to work very well.

81 isn't all that warm, unless the tank is going from 76 to 81 over a short period of time. A lot of people keep their tank cool by blowing a small fan across the top of the water. This can keep the temp down, but will increase evaporation, so keep the tank topped off.

I agree 81 is fine. I did have a problem with a couple of corals bleaching when my tank got to 86 once.

just go to walmart and get a $5 fan to blow across the top of the water. like poppin fresh suggested ... just keep it topped off.

I believe he has a nano, so fans won't help.

I agree though, 81 is fine. If it gets worse, you can shift your photoperiod so the lights are on later in the day when it's cooler, or you can crack the lid open to help with evaporation.
