After doing a water change last night I moved my phos and carbon

When I went to check on my tank this morning my water was completely brown:(

The phos sock was clinging to the suction side of the pump that circulates around the phos and carbon.

I removed the phos sock and added an addition carbon sock (as carbon should help to remove the phos)

Any other tips to remove the brown?

I don’t want to do another water change tonight as I don’t want to shock the tank

BTW all fish and corals are doing good. My skimmer is out of action as I am waiting on a part.

The GFO powder should settle out or be skimmed out (if skimmer was working) over the next couple days...it shouldn't hurt anything. Adding a poly filter over the pump inlet would help trap the particles also.

A mechanical filter (cannister, HOB) might help too.

At any rate the PO4 dust isn't harmful to anything. Just looks unsightly.
