I was just curious what others feel about the claims made by New Life International and their Spectrum foods. You can find what I'm referring to here: Basic Fish Nutrition (http://nlsfishfood.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=29&Itemid=63).
It's a rather lengthy read, so here's a brief summary: Basically they claim that their food is the *only* food you need to feed your fish. It contains high quality ingredients and provides all of the nutrients our fish need. They compare it to how dog owners typically feed their dogs the same dry food for the life of dog and that dogs are healthier and live longer than ever before. In fact, they go so far as to say that feeding a combination of other foods will actually reduce the benefits of just feeding Spectrum foods.
Of course, as a rule I'm always skeptical of manufacturers' claims and this claim seems very hard to believe. I do currently feed NLS (in combination with frozen foods) and all of my fish eat it. The thought of being able to simplify the feeding process as well as having healthier fish is certainly a wonderful idea.
Anyway, I'd just like to know what other's feel about this. Since I already have their food, I may try their "10 day claim" and see if I notice anything different in my fish.
