Anyone use the whole freeze dried Cyclop-Eeze? Curious about the amount and application?

I do but not really directly to the tank, I use it in a food mixture I make up to target feed corals and shrimp and such. I've gotten great polyp response and growth with a mixture of live Nannochloropsis and Isochrysis from my own cultures, Reef Nutrition roti feast, they cyclop-eeze, powdered fish meal, marine mysis shrimp, and Brightwell aquatics Coral Amino. Sometimes I'll add oyster eggs but usually not.

I typically use about two tablespoons for every 8 ounce batch I make. Works pretty good for me!

(in edit) I used to just dump a teaspoon full in front of a powerhead and let it disperse, which also worked pretty well

The freeze dried doesn't hydrate very well and a lot goes down the overflow, even if it is soaked. For that reason, I use the frozen Cyclopeze. It's a great food!

Agreed, frozen is better. I use freeze dried, but only if I put it in mixed fare, and let it hydrate. A little goes a long way, frozen or otherwise. YOU CAN seriously overfeed if you use too much.

yeah with the mix it hydrates a lot better and I have no problems... agreed on all accounts there

I like the frozen also, but I thaw it completly first or clumps just get stuck places. There is dry cyclops in the zo plankton that I feed but even when wet in a container and it seems to settle nicely, once put in the tank the cyclops seems to just float.

Definitely the frozen, definitely thaw in tank water before using. Keep unused portion in refrig.
