Just had a quick question about ich and hate to start another thread on the subject...but just not sure!

About 4 weeks ago i pulled all my fish out and started a hpt..I know that the ich cycle in my display can last about 5 or 6 weeks while,i'm letting it go fallow.
My question is ,can i put my fish into one of my LARGER tank that was not originally infected ...The fish have been treated with copper for 4 weeks and seem to be fine...My tang wants to swim!!!!!l lol...How long does it take for the coper to kill off ick completely?

This article here- Aquarium Fish (http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/jan2004/mini3.htm) says to treat for 3 weeks, so I would think you are good to go.

I've heard you should run your tank fallow for 4 to 5 weeks. heres a good thread to check out.

Like i said i wanted to wait another two weeks before drooping them back into my display(which makes a total of 6 weeks) ...but want to get the fish out of the QT into something bigger that was not originally infected ..
I guess what i'm asking is how long will it take to completely kill off Ich using copper? I've herd 3 week too, just want to make sure!!

Bryan, I thought that I had already posted but I must have gotten sidetracked. Anyhow, I think that the parasites are probably cleared from the fish in the 3 weeks and you will probably be OK moving them into a non ich infected tank.
