View Full Version : V takes a break veriann 02-26-2008, 10:51 PM Hello fellow campers. yes that means you in the beenie:huh:
Ive been officially inducted into nasa's monkey training program, so i wont be around for awhile! :rotfl: well the monkey bit was a lie, monkeys are getting expensive so we're trying zebra's instead..lol
Oh in all seriousness now, its time to say good bye for awhile, for real ? -
yes but it feels so surreal!
"captains log, star date 1.205 rounded to the nearest decimal point, Told Bones today to turn off that damn blinker,.......... we're been turning left since right was found!!! ...end log"
I better make this quick - cause its taxing being normal for long spans of time! ;)
Just to give you guys a brief rundown on my life ATM, cause its more important that your lives of course..lol , this normal stuff is harder than it looks...anyways, ive recently separated from the family & am in the process of moving into a brand new house. So new - theres no need to sniff the walls for paint fumes if you catch my drift.
So i now have a blank canvas to start a fresh - & typical problematic champaign tastes so after the $5000 fridges, $2000 washing machines ect ect a computer is like 25th on the list. So the internet the world over will now go quiet for awhile & you'll notice the line speeds pick up alittle cause im not downloading all that porn anymore:wow: Good thing is im aiming for a new Apple this time round, die you PC clones - just die! *takes his foot off the laptop* ahem............. where was i ? yep.... so im saying good bye for while. I'll miss you guys. Even talking crap builds bonds, & dont let anyone tell you other wise!
:missyou: lReef lKeeper 02-26-2008, 10:59 PM damn dude, that sucks. hope everything works out for the best for you. keep in touch and i (for one) look forward to your return. Phurst 02-26-2008, 11:17 PM Damn V, I'm sorry to hear that. This place will not be nearly as exciting for a while.
Here's to your speedy return
Take care man. Reefbaby 02-26-2008, 11:43 PM Way to go with the switch to Mac!!! Welcome to the family dude! :D
Hope your new life works better for you. Take care of yourself! I look forward to having you back. Kind of crazy to think that I've known you for almost two years now! :wow: FishStank 02-27-2008, 12:15 AM Awwwww! I just started here and was enjoying all your crazy posts! Take care of yourself and I wish you success with your new beginnings. Leave plenty of room in the new place for tanks! JustDavidP 02-27-2008, 09:07 AM Darn it... looks like I'm going to have to shelf my new "Slang From Down Undah" dictionary for a while :) Be well my friend... get in order and get back soonest.
Dave Amphibious 02-27-2008, 09:36 AM Hey V,
I hate it when you get serious. The separating stuff sucks but, when you close a door or a chapter in life, you open another. With the new chapter you can write a new life full of whatever you'd like and make it better. Conquering tough times makes one stronger. Thirty years ago I walked away from my family. Hardest decision I ever made in my life but, my kids survived and a few years later each told me it was the best thing I could have done. Nine years of single life, having to "make it" on my own, delving deep into self help taught me who I really was and what I really wanted in life. Then, my true soul mate came into my life. Now, twenty plus years later, Sue and I are still giddy about our life together. Good things can happen but it will depend on the path you take V. Make good decisions, my friend.
I know I speak for many here at TR, we will miss your wit, wisdom and smart @ss know-it-all attitude but, there will be no tears shed at this parting because it's not death that keeps us apart only time and money. Time will pass, money will come and that Mac will bring you back to us, soon we hope.
I personally love you V! Get your life back together and get back here.
Remember our motto..."One for all and all for one".
Dick Mr. Tang 02-27-2008, 12:13 PM Later Days ,,,,, Better lays
See ya bro
Mr. Tang Pescaiolo 02-27-2008, 01:18 PM V, I came back just in time to see you off. I will miss you bruv. Take care and stay safe. I wish you the best and hope for your safe return to us. TR will not be the same without your humor.
Good move on getting a Mac...PC is the reason I have been gone for so long! I think I am not too far behind you on getting a Mac. *smacks laptop for being a PC* I was wondering what happened to are daily post. Hope to see you back soon.:missyou::cry: CarmieJo 02-27-2008, 10:44 PM Bummer V. I haven't been in your place but I can only imagine how though this must be. Hang in there and hurry back to us. As Lori says "Reefers school together" and to me that means that we are family here and we will miss you while you are gone. Skurvey Dog 02-28-2008, 12:42 AM Even though thousands of miles and endless ocean separates us now as it always has, you are still very near and dear to me. Been there, done that back in 1993 and just walked off with my 3 kids, the clothes on our backs and a beat up car. Hardest thing I ever had to do and took years for me to get my life back, but the point is this..... best decision that I ever made and I learned I was stronger than I ever imagined, sheer determination driving me to make it. And what does not kill you will make you stronger. I rewrote the pages of a book that was written for me and changed those words of sorrow into strength, happiness and the captain of my ship to sail where I so choose and to enjoy adventures yet to be discovered. Live one day at a time V, for tomorrow has it's own set of worries. You are a survivor and your intelligence, quick witt and humor will be your best defenses against meloncholy. Love ya, mean it. Now get your sh*t in one sock and get your wonderful arse back here as quickly as possible. I'm gonna miss the heck out of you. Take care of yourself. poppin_fresh 02-28-2008, 01:00 AM Am I the only one whos not going to miss V?
DOH! Did I say that out loud? :D
Seriously though, good luck with your new start... this coming from some one who may be forced to do something similar. nay,kid 02-28-2008, 08:36 PM after reading more of your posts I've come to enjoy your daily humor you have brightened many days. I hope things go well for you and look forward to your return. Reefbaby 02-29-2008, 07:17 PM God...our daily post count is drastically dwindling! What's life going to be like without V?!

Hey man, sorry to hear about the family troubles, but just wanted to throw in my 0.02, your posts will be missed. You and I didn't interact too much, but I'll miss your humor around here.
Let us know when you return! HA, like I needed to say that! V isn't exactly the type to come back quietly :tongue2:
Cheers,
Brian Skurvey Dog 03-04-2008, 06:31 AM Glad to hear that things are moving along in a positive direction for you. I'm sure your mates are looking out for you and throwing entertaining diversions your way. A trip to the $ store, I think, is in order for you as $25 and a stroll through would probably complete your list of necessaries that you didn't even think of yet. And V, let's try to keep some things a little more nutritional in the fridge besides brewskies, K? :p Take care. JustDavidP 03-05-2008, 12:41 PM And V, let's try to keep some things a little more nutritional in the fridge besides brewskies, K? :p Take care.
Ah...but if you home brew...and have yeast sediment on the bottom, you have a good source of vitamins B :) and roughage LOL
D Danamck 03-14-2008, 10:14 PM What can I say that hasn't already been said?
You will be missed. Everything happens for a reason, they're just not always good reasons. But look at the positive side ... beer with breakfast? No problem!
PS - Way to go on the Mac decision - you will not regret it. Skurvey Dog 03-14-2008, 11:37 PM Ah...but if you home brew...and have yeast sediment on the bottom, you have a good source of vitamins B :) and roughage LOL

You can install Windows on any of the newer Intel chip Macs. Wow cool Thx I'll have to look in to that. Skurvey Dog 03-16-2008, 08:14 PM I'm glad to see that you are retaining your creativity and hope that you are making progress with the Mac build. However, I did think that Dr Emmett Brown was your mentor as I was leaning towards a time machine myself. :D Oh well, I guess McFly was enough. J/K Glad to see you back on the boards and hope you get that puppy finished up so we can get back to status quo. pvtdonut 03-24-2008, 09:07 AM he gives apple's slogan a whole new meaning.

So chub up people, alas im never leaving!!! :rotfl: Skurvey Dog 05-10-2008, 09:40 AM I'm glad that you are still around and life is still good. I know these are just setbacks and will be worked out with time. Removing the stress and conflict from your life, after that, it's to the top. LOL! That looks more like a flux capacitor to me!!
No, it is not a flux capacitor but rather an early experimental model of a first generation warp core. That scientist holding the remote control lost all his hair. veriann 05-11-2008, 01:22 AM glad to see your back blubber!
Only going to tell you this once more my deaf friend, delete some of you inbox so i can send you secret & covert PM's of an adult & unsavourry nature would you..lol CarmieJo 05-11-2008, 06:55 PM If we can get that warp core working we can send V off to the Borg Cube to rescue FW! |
