View Full Version : V, what is Garnier? CarmieJo 01-21-2008, 10:13 PM OK, so we have been watching the Australian Open. I recognize all of the ads I see except Garnier so I think it is something Australian. The logo is very attractive but doesn't give any clue as to its function! Phurst 01-21-2008, 10:21 PM Ah another tennis fan! I love watching tennis!
BTW Carmie, almost ended up in Raleigh this weekend for work. Dodged that bullet, but ended up working 12 hours on Sunday anyway....:( CarmieJo 01-21-2008, 10:39 PM Well if they want to send you next weekend there is a big frag swap in north Raleigh. :) veriann 01-22-2008, 08:13 PM usually women beauty care range , although they do hair shampoos & other thing for men as well.
i always thought they were an american company, because all your celebs are promoting the products. veriann 01-22-2008, 08:14 PM you see the capsicum spraying outbreak with the cops & the greeks.
damn that was a laugh! CarmieJo 01-22-2008, 08:21 PM I've never heard of it. It is pretty funny that they use US celebs to push it. Obviously our consumerism ** umm excuse me discriminating taste** is world renowned! I asked my husband about it and he said it was an Australian sports drink! I thought that was funny because in America we advertise sports drinks with sports figures/equipment not dots. lReef lKeeper 01-22-2008, 09:04 PM it is a line of hair care products that is all over american TV. CarmieJo 01-22-2008, 09:16 PM They must not advertise them on ESPN. :) veriann 01-24-2008, 03:47 AM I asked my husband about it and he said it was an Australian sports drink! I thought that was funny because in America we advertise sports drinks with sports figures/equipment not dots.
lol you kill me carmie. Is this the same man that said the great wall of china was built to keep the rabbits out! lol
I hope he's not watching:huh:
yeah hair products, ive used there fruit poos, thats short for shampoo's people :D CarmieJo 01-24-2008, 09:32 AM OK, I asked at work and they say we have them here too. I guess I need to spend more time in the poo aisle at the store and not just pick up the flavor of Suave that appeals to me that day. :) Phurst 01-24-2008, 10:59 AM OK, I asked at work and they say we have them here too. Eeeewwwww! Your store has a POO aisle???? I knew things were different in NC, but come on.... :) veriann 01-24-2008, 07:32 PM Yeah we have a poo aisle as well , with slogans such as
"nothing say's i love you more that eating corn the night before". ok, im getting off the subject of poo's now:sick:
Tell me something, what is so totally unique to USA that you dont even export.
We have a product called fosters, & we do anything but keep in in australia..lol CarmieJo 01-24-2008, 09:39 PM Well it is probably hard to get Eastern NC BBQ and Skyline Cincinnati Style Chili there. Heck, I can't even get Skyline here. lReef lKeeper 01-24-2008, 11:31 PM we have skyline chili all over the place here !! CarmieJo 01-24-2008, 11:37 PM Yeah, you are close enough to get it! I wish someone would open a franchise here! I love Skyline. In April my niece's color guard will go to the Winterguard World Competition in Dayton. I intend to eat there at least twice in the 2 nights/3 days we are in town! veriann 01-25-2008, 01:03 AM skyline is a great brand of cars, but never seen an esky named after it.
Do you have tim tams over there?
what about vegemite? CarmieJo 01-25-2008, 11:17 PM Vegemite you can get and there is some kind of Australian drink that is kind of like hot chocolate. It is very mild chocolate and has a little malt taste to it. I had it at a schoolmates of Dominic who is Australian.
Skyline is a very cool car but what I am talking about is a ground meat that is in tomato sauce seasoned with cinnamon and chocolate. It is served over noodles with cheese, beans and onions. You can get a 3-way with noodles, meat and cheese, a 4 way with one of the others or a 5 way with all of them. Yummy! pvtdonut 02-03-2008, 08:26 AM ive always been curious on what vegemite tastes like...im in NY and we dont get anything up here..... =[ im still waiying for a white castle to come to my area.... =\ |
