Bobby
Do these Butterfly's do good in a reef tank?? I have read both sides of that question. I would love to have two but don't want to risk my corals. What is the theory here at Tlking Reef?????

MY opinion on them is a 50-50 chance as with a few other yellow butterfly fish, like the long nosed butterfly, the copperband butterfly and the raccoon butterfly. most butterfly fish WILL nip at polyps those are just a few that are a LITTLE less likely to. i had a copperband in my reef for a few years and he never nipped anything (that i saw). but what works for me may not work for you or anyone else.

In regards to the Moorish Idol, I am glad that people are hearing that there is a close alternative. The Moorish Idol is truly better off left in the ocean.
