I've got a copper banded buterfly. he's bin in my tank for about 3 weeks and has developed white puffy spots. His left fin had a black dot that has now developed into more black dots.
I dont like treating my tank,and dont have a quarentine tank set up but I can set one up if I have to.
I was thinking about pulling him out of the water and plucking the stuff off but I think the shock might kill him.
I would post picks but dont know how, so if any one has any idea on what it might be or on posting pics please let me know.
he eats fine and swimms around. I dont think its ick because they seem to be to big for that.
could use any help I can get.

I don't know what it might be but I would pull him out and stick him in QT. Use the water from your DT to fill up the QT.

To post pictures here I first upload them to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket (http://www.photobucket.com) (it is as easy as using file explorer) and then I copy the img code (it is a string of text) and paste it into my post. There are several sites like photobucket and I think they all work about the same.
