not sure were to post this, but it is going to be a diy project..
this last weekend i was added some new rock and noticed that in doing this i must t of scrapped the wire to one of my power heads. and to my supprise there was a bare wire :eek:
luckily my critters nor myself did not take a shock :wow:

is there a way to repair this wire safely

does it go into the water?? i can not tell what that is that it is powering. if it is not submerged ... you could just wrap it tightly in electrical tape.

It looks like just the outer wire casing got damaged. The inner insulation looks intact.. You would know if the bare wire was exposed to the water.

Personally, I would get some shrink tubing to seal the cable and then use that powerhead to mix SW with. I would get another one for the tank.

was thinking since only a couple of weeks old that i could strip both wire back solder incase in some epoxy then shrink cover it and go

since it goes in the water i would agree with poppin fresh. buy another and use that one to mix SW (after the repair of course).
