Hello everyone, I'm in need of finding a highly efficient Protein Skimmer that can be hooked up to my JBJ 28 gallon Nano Reef Aquarium. Due to the size restrictions and inability to plumb into a sump my options are somewhat limited. I would prefer a Recirculating Protein Skimmer but beggers can't be picky. I have selected some options and any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I am not skimming my nano at this time. However, I am considering a Sapphire Aquatics (http://www.sapphireaquatics.com/) skimmer which I have heard good things about.

I did not even place them into consideration but I also have heard great things about them. I'm actually going to place my order in a few days for their Sapphire Protein Skimmer for the Aquapod 24 since its dimensions fit one of the chambers in my JBJ 28 gallon Nano Cube HQI SPS Reef Aquarium. I'm not sure when their releasing a specific model for my aquarium.

You might send them an email asking specifically about the 28. I talked to the owner (his name escapes me right now) at MACNA and he was quite informative and seemed very knowledgeable.

CarmieJo, I sent an E-mail but have yet to hear back from anyone concerning the 28 gallon JBJ Nano Cube HQI Sapphire Protein Skimmer. I'm seriously just considering purchasing the Sapphire Skimmer designed for the Aquapod 24.

If I recall correctly he said that the difference between the models is the size of the chamber so you would probably be fine with it.

Well I placed an order for the Tunze Nano DOC 9002. I just wanted to try a product from a company that I could actually call and get their customer service. Sapphire Aquatics does not have any customer service number.
