Hey all...

So i have already set up 2 salt water tanks (3 if you include my quarenteen tank) one is a 44 agressive and the other is a 55 comunity (clowns, crabs, shrimp, damsels..ect)

My question is... I just purchased a 135 gallon tank (great deal all set up and ready to go, lights, tank, stand, hood, filters, heaters ect $800 YAY ME!!!)
So as my triggers that are currently in my 44 are quickly outgrowing the tank, we will move them to the big one soon, however having a tank that size and only 2 fish and a eel (humu humu trigger, red tooth niger trigger, and snowflake moray eel) i want to know if i anyone can suggest any other triggers to add to the tank, we were thinking about having the tank species only, and are interested in the clown triggers, yellow spot triggers, and queen triggers, however dont know alot about them, or how they would get along with our little pride and joys we already have...

I have contacted the LFS and as most of the employees are young and inexperienced in the salt area (we live in a little city) i need all the help i can get....

So if any of you out there have had or seen a red tooth niger, or a picasso with other triggers tooo... PLEASE TELL ME WHAT ONES... as that is like i said a BIG tank and id like it to be interesting, instead of just 2 fish and a eel LOL

Thanks a bunch!!

I've seen people keep clown triggers with nigers before. I've also seen people keep puffers and large angels with them, as long as the angels are bigger then the triggers.

oh dude you got to get a fu-manchu is you have an all predator tank. they just top it off when making it really interesting placing your hand in..lol

ive kept triggers many times, Picasso is by far my personal fav & ive been able to match them to other species. biggest thing with triggers or any larger / tougher animal that can hold its own , is that individual temperaments govern compatibility. some will be fine, where as the same species but a submissive action displayed or an annoying constant habit of annoyance can drive a dominant trigger into a killing frenzy. :madmad: To which even if you intervene , the muscle will happen till a rival is dead. So id say make any new edditions at a time when your home all week end to observe, or get a fu-manchu:up:

Dood... ive looked into them and my personal opinion of the fu-manchu is that they are one of the UGLIEST fish obtainable from a LFS.. Id like to keep the tank looking attractive and this fish (again in my opinion) isnt one id like to see in it... im looking for colorful, not scary!!! lol (ya im a chick what can i say... pretty is better)

Anyone else know of any compatible (Colorful) tank mates to place in with my triggers and eel? (im kinda leaning towards an Speices Tank, having mostly triggers.... but open to suggestions

Thanks again
