This program allows voice and text chat. If you don't have a headset you can call in on a phone. I use my cell phone. If you are going to call in use your phone number as your pin. About 7:55 sign into TalkShoe whether you are going to use a headset, phone or chat. When you call into TalkShoe (724) 444-7444 you will enter the talkcast number 53884 and # then you will get a prompt to enter 1# but DON'T. Wait for the next prompt which is enter 2#. This will connect your phone # to your user name. If you have your caller ID blocked you will have to enter your 10 digit phone number followed by # instead of 2#.

OK, I'm registered and found the page on talkshoe. I'm going to call in when the kids go to bed, but is there a chat component on talkshoe, or just the chat on TR?

No there is a chat function on TalkShoe too. I try to monitor the TR chat as well as everything on TalkShoe but sometimes it gets a little hairy!

I just wanted to note for future reference:

I set up my PIN in TalkShoe as my home phone, and ended up calling in from my cell. After you enter the show number, you get a prompt. Pressing 1# will join you as a non-member. 2# will try to use the number you are calling from as your PIN. If you are calling from a number that is not your PIN, or set up a PIN that is not a phone number at all, after the voice prompts, you can simply enter your PIN and hit #. That will tie the phone you are using to your TalkShoe account for that call only.
