I'm starting up an LFS, and one way I thought I could set myself apart is to offer some top shelf live rock. I remember seeing some pics on here of absolutely beautiful stuff, covered in coraline, and nicely shaped but I can't seem to find the company now. And suggestions appreciated.

Unless you can do about 3000 lbs a week, you will not be able to buy direct from Walt. Even then I'm not sure he is taking on any new direct customers. The last I heard he was not. If you contact him he will direct you to purchase from Pacific Aqua Farms, a company he set up to receive his product in LA. He sold the controlling interest in PAF but retains a % interest.

As far as getting the "best" LR, you probably can't go wrong with PAF as long as you realize when they pack LR they don't hand select they just pack it in boxes. You get what you get.

My LR from PAF was, for the most part, excellent. It's what you'd expect from Walt.
