Hi Rob,
I want to ask if there would be extra benifit with running a Protein skimmer and Fluidized Bed Filter?
What would be the benifits and drawbacks.

You mean running them linked in some way? I don't think it would make much difference if they were linked somehow. A fluidized bed filter is great for ammonia and nitrite reduction as it's just more surface area for bacteria, but LR and LS should be fine on their own without it.

Thanks for the quick response. Yes i forgot to mention that i do have about 70lbs for live rock and a 3 or 4 inch sand bed. So, I could just go with the skimmer.

Absolutely. 99.99% of the fluidized bed filters i have seen were on FW tanks. The LFS has one on one of their display tanks, but it's just to demo the filter, not for any particular added benefit.
