LOL!! I was kind of taken by suprise by my aquarium last night when I took my first water test. I really did not expect my tank to kick in to gear that fast. Last time it took 2 weeks to start my cycle. I was to lazy to look for a notebook to write my results so I just decided to write it here lol.

I think my old rocks from my other tank, and my sand help speed up the process. I had both sealed in 5 gal. buckets for 3 months. My tank is covered in brown diatoms including the sand.
I am not sure how to handle this right now, it cycled so fast.

Could not get my salanity past 1.020 until I realized that my old salt that I had left over from the previous tank had picked up moisture from being in the basement. I bought a new bag tonight, along with some Reef Builder to help stabalize my alk. It has been swinging all over the place. Problem is, this bottle I bought measurments start at a half a teaspoon for every 40gal.
