I was wondering if anyone had a sump/refugium that sits under the tank on a nano. I mean a self contained nano, like an aquapod. Can this be done? Will the hood make it impossible?

I'm getting ready to undertake just this project on my Nano Cube 12DX, assisted by the fact that the rear filtration section is plastic. I plan on full documentation when I do it.

I'm very excited about it, but I'm going to wait for my department to switch floors sometime this month or next. I'll be sure to document it in my nano thread.

It can be done no problem with a 10g or 5g aquarium, some acrylic, some silicon sealant, plumbing and a pump. Get some live rock and macro algae for your refugium side and you should be set. Oh! I almost forgot about and drilling the display tank! :p
If you don't mind me asking, is it still a nano if you plumb a sump to it?
