I would like to take a minute to introduce you all to the new Talkingreef look at feel. This new site design is a few weeks in the making and i hope you all like it as much as we do.

Along with the new style we have resolved a number of forums bugs, the ability for some users not to post should be fully resolved now, also the problem with the ability to use the editor to change fonts, sizes and colors should all be resolved.

As im sure you have noticed the Logo has not been fully integrated yet, this is something that is still left open. If you are interested in helping out with this, please take a copy of the image, and do a mock up of how you would blend it into the site. Email me your results and Podcast at talkingreef dot com. i will choose the best one to get the full PSD file and do a full version.

Please browse around and if you find any bugs, or have any recommendations please let me know by posting here.

Great redesign Rob! I like it.

I do have one suggestion: The footer of the posts is bigger than necessary. If you could make some of the graphic buttons a little smaller it would probably be fine in half the space (like the height of each post header) and help make for less scrolling in the threads. But I'm a purist: more content, less bling. :) Maybe others disagree?

thank you for the feedback, im not sure i understand what you are referring to in regards to the post footer, can you maybe attach a screenshot pointing out how it looks for you and what you are referring too?

I like it a lot, are the posts set up to adjust width or are they a set width? I have had some that are all the same size and some that are wider and go off the screen.

I am just talking about the bar at bottom of each post that includes the reputation, bookmark, and quote buttons. Really very minor. Its not like it is actually big. I am using IE7 on Windows.

ahh.. ok, thats bigger because of the buttons for Edit, Quote, Multi-quite and Quickreply.
if i put in smaller buttons that whole bar will decrease

Rob, it looks good, don't stress on the icons and the bar. Remember we have people with not best of eyes looking at these posts. Making them bigger helps everyone!

I like the new look and you have fixed the one bug I found (the submit button not appearing).

i had thought that posting issue was resolved, however it turned out to be another issue that i had with the old site design. this is why i rushed the release before it was fully done (ie logo etc.)

anyways, im glad everyone likes it and the new design has fixed the open issues

yes, sry about that.. i have updated them and made them more visible..
put that in so everyone had a chance to read them since there are some new items in there
mostly common sense stuff, but wanted to make sure everyone saw them

CarmieJo, Veriann, Astrivian its good to be home. How is everyone doing? I had a disaster and lost about $700.00 worth of fish in my aquarium. I will explain later in my post.

i dont have that app, i only have Photoshop, but only really use it for photography work, not creative design like this.

The new site looks slick, but I just wanted to thank you and your staff for the excellent features it does offer. I am continually discovering new tools as I jump around the site. Posting messages (especially linking, quoting , etc) is SO MUCH EASIER than other sites.

However, it makes me a bit irritable when I post elsewhere. :)

PS: I just discovered the multi-quote feature. Whoop!!!
