This cool green sponge has just shown up in my tank. Nothing new has been added and this face of the rock has been visible for months. I have lots of brown sponges but this is the first green one I have seen.

Nice Sponge Carmie.I've noticed some yellow growth on my live rock, and they appear to be sea squirts. Got any of those?
very cool I only have the yellow ones. they come and go in my reef tank all the time

No, no sea squirts. The pineapple sponges come and go but my brown ones have been stable the whole time I've had my tank.
whats the age of your bulbs, or is this the intro effect to your new LED system?

This is with my new Solaris. The form of the sponge looks like the brown ones so I guess it could be a morph.

Tank-raised, and comes highly recommended, if you can find one.I snagged this goby the second I saw him.

Here are a few from my tank that cropped up recently. I love the fact that things just pop up in this hobby, some good things and some bad.

Larry,
That organism looks just like my yellow/green sponge I have in my tank. A closer shot of them would help determine if they are sponges or sea squirts, but I would guess sponge.
