I'd say it's a Stonefish (took a stab at it without scouring the Internet).It's a member of the Scorpionfish family.Some call it a Rockfish.

definitely a scorpion fish, looks like a dwarf lionfish, kinda.

We used to catch these seining in Sarasota Bay when I was a kid.Along with Seahorses,Groupers,and an occasional Look Down.
They were solid gray in color,and not to be stepped on!! :yikes:
