Got a nice sized closed brain for $15 probably 8" x 5". LFS said it was dieing. Heck for $15 I will give it a chance. It's not the first coral brought back from the dead. Here's a pic. I think it has potential.

Sure, there's plenty of life left. There's some parts that are clearly dead, but it has potential. Good water, good lighting and some food, and it should respond nicely.

i agree with Phurst, there is still plenty of life left on that coral !! just try to provide optimum water quality and give it some regular feedings and it should recover nicely.

Best of luck! I am resurrecting a Monti digitata right now myself.. My LFS gave it to me free because it was not sell-able

Heck that coral will come back easy...I got a maze brain that looked worse for $5 and the entire coral was back and looking good in under a month. Way to save another forgotten coral!

I can't wait to see how it develops!

heck, for 15 smackos you could take away my razors & call me rob for a week. Nice score bud, hope the recovery goes as planned.

Little update. Color is starting to return. My yellow tang did a nice job picking the algae off.
