I find the tag system perfectly fine, but sometimes a few words get mistakenly tagged that are used frequently. For example, "Mary has a little lamb" usually has the word "has" highlighted with a link to hair algae. It's not a big deal, just throws off a quick read. And why isn't it doing it now, but just did in a thread I was reading? That is annoying!

I second that one. The hair algae tag should only be on HA or ha or maybe HAs (if capitalization is part of the definition), but all lower case has is not a good word for tags

Here is the problem, Its a script error in a way. Has is picked up from HA, Has is Ha plural. Now BTA is plural, BTAs it picks up as well. Its just the plural thing. Not sure why it does this we have tried to fix it in the past.

Could we just kill the tag for hair algae? It's not a real tough one to figure out even if abbreviated.

I would but theres a lot of people that don't know what HA is abbreviated for. I will look into a patch or a new release and see what we can do.

Thanks, man. I don't think I have OCD or anything, but for some reason I slow down my reading every time I see the word "has."

yes, Wes nailed it, there is something with the code that is there on purpose to handle plurals. and normally this is great, but in a commonly used word like has, it can be problematic.

if you guys think its more annoying than helpful (to you and new members) please let me know and i can disable that until it can be handled properly

i think it is more helpful to new members to leave it on, just my opinion though.
