i just use a pair of side cutters on mine. it is a piece of cake !! just mark the ones you want to cut and start clipping away.

Side cutters seem to be the easiest way I found Side cutters (http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&productId=100079613&N=10000003+90401+500737&marketID=401&locStoreNum=8125)

Basically a good pair of wire cutters. They worked great for me. People have said they do it with a screwdriver, but that isn't quite precise enough for me. I think they just push the screwdriver down through a row to snap them.

You can do it with a screw driver but its a bit of a mess and you can also break more than you want. I wouldn't try this because you are actually breaking the plastic in a uncontrolled way. If you use a pair of wire cutters or garden shears you are controlling the break a lot better and in turn it will be neater and won't take an eye out. If you want to practice cut the first row off so you can see how it will split.
