The label says it's a venturi skimmer but don't those have a swirling action to them that is not described in the diagram? It might be mislabeled because it looks like the more straightforward just rise up in the chamber style.

good point....I will have to change that. The diagram is meant to be more of a general reference for beginners, so I omitted many details.
