It was already set up so I have acquired a few more critters.

I am really excited to have it but the whole situation makes me mad. The young couple who were selling it had really been given bad advice from a lfs. After a year they were bailing out and were so soured on reef tanks. I wish they would have found TR the day they brought their nano home.

nice, although carmie, you cheated on the space race. :rotfl:

bad advice seems to be universal.
couldn't have too bad though,or came good toward the end of ownership yeah- cause the cal alg seems to still be abundant.

Nice score by the way.
The nano generation kicks into high gear these days.

Yeah the tank was still running but they had lost most of their corals. There are some GSP's left but they don't look so great and the colt which looks pretty droopy.

What size tank is that?

There's a guy in our local club that's selling a 14 gal nano, and I've been thinking about setting it up in my office at work.

It's a 24. So far I like it even though I haven't really done much besides bring it home and set it back up.

I'm not sure. It came with a chromis and a clown, perhaps an ocellaris. I may keep these guys and just add some more corals.

You know, when I went on vacation the cubes held up better than the rest. I have the JBJ 24,12 and the new 28 HQI. Great little tanks.

Hi Carmie,
That LR that came with your 24g...is it porous or solid? By the pic it seems a little closer to base rock than LR.
And congrats on now having 2 tanks.Mulit-tanks owners agree....the fun never ends!!

Larry, the LR is porous and has coralline on the sides that were exposed before I got it. I didn't get it stacked back in the same way and so a lot of the white is exposed. The tank had been up for a year.

your nano looks so cool

what is it equiped with?

any modifications or new live stock planned?

It is the stock tank. I removed the water diffuser thing because I didn't think that there was enough water movement at the surface. I haven't really made any decisions on where to go with it, I'll decide when I get back form vacation. :)

My frog spawn is very happy in this tank and has already added a new head.

Looking really nice Carmie. My frogspawn really responded well when I moved it to my nano. I think there was too much flow in my 120.

I think the frogspawn might look prettier with the lights in the big tank but I don't think it could look happier.
