That I just used some Seachem Reef Buffer to raise the pH and alk in my hot tub?
Hey, if it's good enough for the fishes....

I don't think its wrong at all :)
I had a friend that use to have a salt tank and he couldn't ( or wouldn't) keep up with water changes and stuff and his tank was always crashing. Well one day he asked me what i thought about him getting a hot tub and i told him if he couldn't handle a salt tank he shouldn't have a hot tub :) lol

Scary thing is, it worked perfectly
I pay WAY more attention to the tank chemistry than the hot tub, where my wife and kids frolic daily :rotfl:

Yeah but the stuff you buy at the spa place is way cheaper than the stuff you buy for your tank! We've had our tub long enough that I hardly ever test it. I just dump the stuff in that you know it needs and change the water every 3 months! I think I read about something you could put in your tank to eliminate water changes. Now I wonder if it would work in a hot tub???

Yeah, baking soda would have been fine, but I didn't have any handy.
Hmmm, chemi-pure in the hot tub, good idea!

I buy the baking soda in the big box at Sam's club. :)

I'm with Carmiejo! Reef chem is EXPENSIVE! Arm & Hammer IS NOT!
