Hi Darren,
At first glance, it looks like a Rock Anemone (Epicystis crucifer).
They tend to stay put and don't require alot of light.

The red stuff killed your yellow polyps?

I found out that yellow polyps aren't as easy to keep as first thought.
Just like sun polyps, you must feed each individual of the colony.

yes. it grew over them and didn't let them get light or some thing. Any way i lost 2/3 of all the polys.

Oh ok i thought you were talking about the macro algae in the picture above. You are right, red slime will over take a colony of polyps and kill them in no time.

im thinking the anemone is a Phymanthus sp.. like this Phymanthus pulcher - www.meerwasser-lexikon.de (http://www.meerwasser-lexikon.de/eng/48/1021/Phymanthus/pulcher.htm)
