The Birch Aquarium (http://aquarium.ucsd.edu/) is excellent. The kelp garden exhibit is quite spectacular.

If a 2 hour drive isn't out of the questions there's the Aquarium of the Pacific (http://www.aquariumofpacific.org/)

We love it there.

Are there alot of diffrents exhibits? How long does it take you to go thru it? Im not mush of a reader, I just like to see the diff fish and stare at them. I'm used to the camden aquarium (http://adventureaquarium.reachlocal.net/), which is great.

Yes, there's a lot of different exhibits. We actually had season passes because it was so awesome. There's stuff inside and outside and you have to go feed the birds their little nectar. They come land on your finger and drink the juice. I've spent hours getting through the exhibits.
