Talkingreef is Happy to welcome you to the inaugural issue of Reefreaders. talkingreef has launched Reefreaders as you newest source for marine and reef aquarium information along with the Talkingreef Podcast.
.
Each month we will bring you articles and features like:
* ID the Sea - an Identification guessing game with neat tidbits on the species to be identified
* Species Spotlight - each month we take an in-depth look at one species you want to know about
* Back to Basics - a section for beginners where we break down a topic into terms everyone will understand.
There will be D-I-Y articles and tips to make keeping your little piece of the ocean easier. We will endeavor to define all those terms that people toss around but you might not know. Reefreaders will keep you up to date on hot topics from The Talkingreef, let you know about new Talkingreef podcasts and bring you news and notes from the Talkingreef community.
There are already many great online magazines out there, we are not trying to replace them. Reefreaders is meant to supplement the ideas and content from the Talkingreef Community. there are always so many great threads that can easily get lost in the shuffle, we plan to formalize those ideas and provide them to you in a familiar easy to read format, without all the chit-chat found in a common forum thread.
Our philosophy at Reefreaders is that reefkeeping should be fun and easy to learn. It’s not fun when one of the critters we keep dies needlessly and we cant understand the info we are trying to read to help our critters. We will help give you the tools to make good decisions and be prepared to properly care for your reef. We believe that knowledge is meant to be shared and we hope that you will pass Reefreaders onto your friends.
