It's getting scary how hard of a time we are having arranging a time! It's because I am a part of the living dead with my work schedule.... not to mention being sick twice in a month's span. Maybe you guys should do the propagation first cause I think I stiffed him again this week.

You are such a silly boy! Such a wild imagination!
*looks around to see if anyone is looking and places a foot on David's bootie and pushes him down the stairs*
I'm having tons of fun over here! JustDavidP 02-27-2007, 12:51 PM Doooh! *rubbin tooshie* Reefbaby 03-03-2007, 05:02 AM maybe we could put in a few nice pictures that have recently been posted?
we could also post the tip of the month in the newsletter as well.... Seahorsedreams 03-03-2007, 12:28 PM Thanks Christi.... super ideas. Seahorsedreams 03-03-2007, 12:32 PM Any particular fish or invert/coral you guys are interested in reading about?
Any piece of equipment you would like to learn about... how it works, how to use it properly?
We really need y'alls help on this one. Reefbaby 03-03-2007, 03:12 PM I was also thinking it wouldn't be bad to have some "environmental/conservational" tip every newsletter - either about a fish/coral/invert that is threatened and shouldn't be imported, etc., or on better ways to be energy efficient, water saving with our tanks.
Personally, I'd be interested in learning more about certain symbyosis between species in our tanks..... Seahorsedreams 03-03-2007, 03:42 PM Personally, I'd be interested in learning more about certain symbyosis between species in our tanks.....
Have any specific suggestions? :-) lanesreef 03-03-2007, 09:34 PM This sounds like a great idea! is this going to be a mailed item or just via email? i have a couple ideas suggestions:
tank parameters chart - listing common tests, parameters, additives, etc...
DIY of the month/week/day - submissions by forum members
Everywhere/Everyone seems to have a tank of the month but how about a fish or coral of the month and have a 'perfect' sample in the newsletter and then a forum for people to submit thier own pics experiences etc.
anyway a couple things i would like to see. I have some background with print layout if you need any help i would be willing. Seahorsedreams 03-03-2007, 10:30 PM This sounds like a great idea! is this going to be a mailed item or just via email?
It's an email newsletter..... but stay tuned, we are working on a couple of projects back here.
Thank-you for the suggestions. lReef lKeeper 03-04-2007, 12:55 AM how about something on ozone ?? it gets a little confusing trying to research it on the internet. i see a lot of people turning to ozone these days, without knowing exactly what it is and what it is used for (seem to think that because one person in thier club has it ... they need it). a list of pros and cons would be nice, because it can be a pretty disasterous outcome if it is used wrong.
just a suggestion. veriann 03-04-2007, 05:42 AM bobby, your right, it is a shame people have no problem with "bolt-ons" with out proper research. SHD ,Carmie you guys might have noticed ive written a proper posts from time to time, all be-it fleeting examples. you get stuck on something let me know! Cyclura 03-04-2007, 09:59 AM Will there still be podcasts?
Lets see....i would naturally say that id like to hear more about seahorses, but what about an article on aquascaping the "correct" way? i.e. making sure all of the rock is exposed and not just piled together, simple tips to creating a more attractive display etc.

ummm ....maybe clownfish/anemone (or other corals); shrimp/gobies; corals/crabs; ....
any other cool symbiosis to learn about would be cool. :showoff: Seahorsedreams 03-04-2007, 01:43 PM If anyone has an article they think they would like to write feel free to approach us. We have a nice few in the works so please don't be offended if we say we already have it covered. Just remember, all articles are open to the same tearing apart and criticing that ours are... I'm missing my left bum cheek from the last ripping I got from the crew.... lol, only kidding.
Symbiosis is sweet.... I know just the person to hit up for the clownfish one. JustDavidP 03-05-2007, 11:14 AM If y'all want, I've done very little with my articles "H. Reidi" and "Pod Condominiums ". I could send them to you Renee and you could begin to rip them apart ;) Steven Pro already read over the seahorse one (minus the breeding info).
Check with Rob though..some of this content will be used in the breeding podcast.
