Just listened to the Q&A podcast that just went up.
Let me know if I can help.
I host a podcast - The Penn State Football Podcast.
Obviously, it is currently "out of season" since it is based on Football.

We use cachefly (CacheFly: Start Delivering - (http://www.cachefly.com)) to host the shows. Great solution.
They provide distributed distribution (multiple servers) but they also centralize the stats, control, etc...

If Talkingreef would like to try it out, using my available bandwidth to host a few episodes, a video, or whatever, let me know.

We pay for it year 'round, so it's there for the using these months.

Users say the downloads work well.

I had issues downloading also. Tried from Yahoo first but that was when it was newly posted. Still doesn't seem like the direct link posted here is right, but I tried feedburner and got it just now.

Hey Tony, I'm an alum. I'll have to check out your podcast in season!

You should contact them about being a sponsor. Lots of other podcasters sign them up as a sponsor, and are able to negotiate reduced rates.

Rob,
Thank you for your work with the podcasts, I truly enjoy them. I know there have been some people (as mentioned on the last podcast) who have wanted a different video format (non-quicktime), and I know you are familiar with conversion options, but I just wanted to post a link for the windows decoder version 9 software that I use in the event it would make it easier for others to convert to a windows file format. I have been very happy with the conversion quality, and plays with windows media flawlessly. I just download the vidcast in the mpeg4 format, then convert it with version 9 of the windows media decoder, and saved it as a windows format video file. It is free software for anyone using windows, and doesn't come standard with any of the service packs. I wasn't sure where to post the link in the forums, but knew you would, so I posted it here. Sorry if this is obvious to others, but I had to scramble and search on my own to figure this out, and would have loved a little help. The link below is one source of download.Download Windows Media Encoder 9 - Production tool that enables content developers to convert both live and prerecorded audio - Softpedia (http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Video/Codec-Packs-Video-Codecs/Windows-Media-Encoder.shtml)

Thanks again,
pucker

Hey guys-

I'm having problems downloading this QA#9 podcast with iTunes. I had a partial download originally, so I deleted that and tried to re-download. I had to unsubscribe/resubscribe to the feed just to get a progress bar to appear, but there is no progress with the download - it just hangs at zero KB.

Any ideas?

Thanks

-Scott

There seems to be a problem with it again. I just get an "!" and a note that says the connection timed out. Rob should have us back up and running soon.
