Hi everyone
I need your help
I'm planning my reef and a I must take a decition
the acuarium will be of 160lts
the water movement will be in charge of:
Hydor FLO with a 500lts bomb
Tunze nanostream 6025
3200lts bomb for the return from the sump and it will be connected to a SCWD (http://www.marinedepot.com/md_viewItem.asp?idproduct=3Q1111) .... and there is my dilema

What you recomend me for the exits of the SCWD:

here is a great example
Melevsreef.com - Closed Loop (http://www.melevsreef.com/closedloop.html)

and if you check out the plumbing video i did, i show you how to make your own spray nozzles like the on you show above, only just out of PVC

The options for return water is cheap enough you could experiment with several choices and then chose the one that's best for your application. Using a straight pipe would allow the flow to reach further into the aquarium than a flattened or flared end like your picture. Which is better depends on your tank and is subjective to opinion. I've used both and both work.

i agree with Amp, it really depends on your needs.
Melev in his setup used plain open pipes, i used more closed ones as i described.
to each his own.. its really up to you and what you want to do with it.
at the end of the day pretty much the same about of water will go into the tank, its just how much force and distance (and the diameter) will it get in the tank.

C3, I use the exact connectors you picture there inline with our SCWD.
