In need opinions/advice on what kind of lighting cycle is best for feather caulerpa?

I bought some of this macro yesterday so i can get some of its benefiets. I placed it in my sump. I want it to pick up some nutrients so my levels go down. Was it a go idea for nitrate reduction?

For the best growth I would recommend a light and dark cycle, maybe 14 on, and 10 off. However there does seem to be some correlation with running the lights 24/7 to prevent sporulation (aka going sexual). I run my lights with a 14 on 10 off cycle, and so far havent had a problem, but I also dose some nutrients to help maintain it. Some people also run there macro/fuge lights on reverse light cycle from the display to help maintain a stable steady PH throughout the day.

You didn't ask :) but just in case you don't know a 6500K bulb is ideal for plants.

"Going sexual" reproduction will flood your tank with spores causing it to become cloudy and affecting the water quality.
