in aquariums if i had to guess maybe 1/2 - 1.5cm a year. they slow down in all but the biggest aquariums, its very species dependant, some species have geneticly faster growth rates for survival, usually these fish are the ones towards the top of the food chain

I think it would also depend on how old the fish was to start out with. Babies grow fast but growth slows down as animals get older.

I've seen my tiny clown trigger better than double his size in 6-8 months. I feed it twice daily, and when folks come over, they always comment on how big it's getting. How big is your Naso now?

yes, the current size is important. it could go from 3" to 6" very fast, but may take years to get from 6" to 8"
