at first i was sad because around 7pm my two emerald crabs were on top of each other and doing "you know what" and then they decided to broke off a piec of my monti... they're prolly at their "high-note"


and then around 11:30pm during my nite feeding, all of a sudden one of the crabs pop out like thousands and thousands of mini babies.. he puffed it out of its belly. it was fun to watch. and wt out any hesitation, my mandarin went at the live babies.. i was soo hooked into it i forgot to take pix.. oh well im sure if it did, it will do it again!

sounds like a cool thing to see, i have see my snails do this, not crabs..

when snails spawn, do they send out like a gas? because i saw one of my snails do something like that. it looked like it was letting out a kind of white cloudy smoke, but then nothing really seemed to happen after that...and then one of my snails did end up dying for some reason, but i am not sure if it was that one

hm im afraid its just waste. but i havnt seen a snail lays egg so i cant say for sure....

it depends on the snail that did this. some snails will broadcast spawn, which is probably the case here. the male snail will spew sperm into the water hopping to find some eggs.

ehh i see no improvements =(( but hopefully it will happen and i will magically have hundreds of baby astrea snails! lol i think its weird that the shell grows with them

i try. mine wouldnt lay eggs. u cant just tell them "hey you, lay egg!"

yeah i dont think i am going to get any luck with the breeding..but owell if i dont... i wasnt expecting it...if i do get some babies! hey good for me

u should start thinking of sharing those babies wt us. cuz im sure all the mandarin owners out there want a piece of that batch of babies
