I know this macro is highly prolific, but what kind of lighting do I need? What kind of bulb?

lol I actually just heard that episode like 5 min. ago, but i really could hear or understand what the lady was saying.

I use 65 watt 6500k PC and it seems to grow like a weed. There are alot of diferent people that use different types of lights but 65 works best for me.

cool thanks wwest. What about those clip on flourecent lamps? I have a small sump, only about 12 wide.

well i just use that coralife fixture..thats i think a total of 18 watts. its about 30 bucks

Hay key. I went and bought the same one you have, and it was much cheaper then the home depot flood light. I have my cheato in a 12g., sump, so I really didnt need all that flood light, plus I think it would have heated up my water. Thanks for the idea though Rob I appreciate it :)

yeah i dont know the real performance of it though because my fuge isnt in the best conditions like flow wise, but once i get my sump it will all be better

I bought that corlife light today 9" PC and put it on egg create. First I made a hole in the egg create. I only have a 12x12x20 sump for my 29gal. It works perfect.

yea I will take some in the morning and put them on. I have a point and shoot dig. So it's kinda crapy.

well i do too.. i found if youre taking corals or in the tank, i like to use macro mode..

i think it does have a macro mode . i searched it on yahoo images and it showed a picture of the camera and i see a macro mode. isnt it the little flower button?

duke1231, I just looked up your camera and it does have a macro mode. Check the camera for a button with a picture of a flower on it. Should help with the closeups.

I have taken a pic of my tank with actinics on and pics of the sump. I have to go to go run some erins for the wife, the honey do list thing, but when I get back and the daylights are on in the tank I will take some close ups and post them.

My fuge is really starting to fill up and I am thinking it's about time to rip some of this out and sell / give away / throw away, whatever.

Is there a way to know when the fuge is getting too full? And...what is the best way to rinse out the pods?

lol well figured out the macro thing now my memory card slot on my computer isnt working so I think I might have fried the memory card I have to buy a new one real soon. I am sorry I will get it to you.
