Hello everyone, First time here. :showoff:

I would like my first question to be, "What are your top 10 RO/ DI units?"

I have a 14gal Biocube and I was thinking of purchasing an RO/DI. I was looking into Marine Maxima S Deluxe that comes with the pressure gauge (I dont know what that is for) and the TDI meter already in it. I want an All-In-One. It is rated at 35GPD. I was wondering if this is a good choice? Or go with some generic one. I am concerned that if I go with generic brands, there wont be future support and it will be harder for me to buy replacement pouches for the RO/DI.

Can anyone list the name of their RO/DI's and any recommendations for my 14gal! THank you!

many of us here (including me) use units from Aquasafe Canada
eBay Store – The Aqua-Safe Pure Water Shop (http://search.stores.ebay.com/The-Aqua-Safe-Pure-Water-Shop_aqua-safe-water_W0QQftsZ2QQsaselZ70548722QQsatitleZaquaQ20sa feQ20waterQQsofpZ0)

here is the unit i have, i haev had this for about 2 years now and it works great
eBay: AQUA-SAFE 100GPD MAXIMUS REVERSE OSMOSIS WATER FILTER (item 150081130215 end time Jan-21-07 09:15:00 PST) (http://cgi.ebay.com/AQUA-SAFE-100GPD-MAXIMUS-REVERSE-OSMOSIS-WATER-FILTER_W0QQitemZ150081130215QQihZ005QQcategoryZ206 84QQcmdZViewItem)

since then, they have release better units that come with everything you need, like this
eBay: AQUA-SAFE MAXIMUS MAX REVERSE OSMOSIS WATER FILTER (item 150081322600 end time Jan-21-07 19:00:00 PST) (http://cgi.ebay.com/AQUA-SAFE-MAXIMUS-MAX-REVERSE-OSMOSIS-WATER-FILTER_W0QQitemZ150081322600QQihZ005QQcategoryZ206 84QQcmdZViewItem)

i have purchased replacement filters directly from them and there cheap, you do have to get them in bulk but when you do you get years worth.. :)

you can see some pics of my setup here...

Thanks for the links, I checked them out. Sounds like a pretty good deal compared to the Kent Marine.

that last one you linked rob, they updated one or whatever, that creates good drinking water too right? because my parents dont want me to get a rodi, but if i can convince them that it will do that , then i have a chance. my mom did like the RO water at my aunts house.

yes, both are good for drinking, i drink mine.. :)

there are two problems though
1.) some people say you should not drink RO/DI water, they say RO is fine, but not RO/DI. something to do wither there being "nothing" in it, i dont know, i dont fully buy that its bad for you.
2.) you will not be able to drink anything else after you start. i cant drink tap or spring water without it bothering my stomach...lol my water is so pure when i drink anything else i can taste all the chemical and minerals in it.. eww...lol
