My question is becauseI went to the LFS and one of the rocks i bought has Zoanthids on it. MY head was somewhere else, because i bought them. After the guy told me they been sitting inside the box for two days. But that was in his store. It probably has been out alot longer.Of course i will never know.
When i arrived home i actual analyzed them. What the !@*# was i thinking?
They look dead and transparent. NO life.

Now my question is should i scrub these off? OR would they actually grow out some way, some how?

Thank yous for your opinions in advance.

Leave them alone... where there is substance there may be life.

Did you buy the rock for the zoas are did you by rock and there happened to be almost dead zoas on there?

Im embaressed to say for the zoa's. But i bought them to start my cycle. I have nothing in my tank. I mean its up and running with live rocks and live sand. So my tank is in its begininning stage?

Ah. You never know what may happen so don't scrap them off. Especially if they're palys.

Good lord... I swear I read you say they were palys....

The same applies.

I agree, I have seen Zoos and palys take some SERIOUS abuse and walk away.

An example that happened to me this month: I picked up a rock at the LFS it had 60-70 polyps on it and most of them were way past the point of no return. I offered the guy $15 for the rock and he took it because "None of those will ever make it". I took them home and did a FW dip for 30 minutes, no heating the water, no PH balancing, nothing (this store is known to have Nudi's). I lost maybe half of them but the rest popped open the next day all bright and happy and lemonade yellow. Now the colony is doing fine and already spreading....never count those buggers out :)

I had a small piece of rock that came with bucket of sand. It's been sitting outside for a while.

I noticed a rock with a red dot on it about 2-3 weeks into the cycle.

And today there is 3 polyps on it.
