After 8 months of trying to rid my tank of the most vile, evil, bloodthirsty, 3 stripe damsel God ever created, I FINALLY caught him last night. I didnt even have to break down the tank either. I used a 2 liter bottle made into a fish trap. The first day i only caught my shrimp. That night i caught my lobster. Then the next evening i took the old turkey baster and squirted some more brine shrimp in the bottle\trap. The damsel couldnt resist the temptation. After about 10 minutes of circling the bottle, in he went and out the bottle came. As you can see in the pics, i caught my shrimp again too. (They arent gonna win any awards for being the smartest creatures in the tank.) He now lives in the qt tank till i can find him a new home. He was the oldest fish in my tank. Kinda a bummer that he was so mean.

Yea i had a maroon clown, blue damsel and a 6 line that i called the mob. It was a sad day when i got rid of them but when i got my new oce's i realized i hated my old fish lol

Im to soft hearted to feed him to anything. After all, he suvived cycling my tank when it was new (before i knew better). Im gonna set up a frag tank one of these days, until then he can stay in the 5.5 gal. He's doing fine in there.

I went to the lfs but i couldnt make up my mind on a clown, a clown, maybe a clown or there was another tank with some clowns in it. I think i might wait till a new shipment comes in. :)

That catch was great! I have a similar 3 - stripe i'd like to get out. I will try the bottle trick as he also can't resist the mysis from a turkey baster. He comes right up and basically sucks the shrimps out. I will lure him and 'snatch' he is mine! wish me luck i'll try this tomorrow.

I too have done it! It took two days and many different attempts but I have done it! My damsel is gone and my other fish are happy already!
