no matter how hard i tried i frequently have to switch places of my corals. either move it up down left or right. and sometimes they even get knocked off my snails (you know those large turbo =])... does any1 here experience the same? its kinda fun but iono if doing so would slow down the growth/spread of my species....

yes, this can happen, if the coral is on a rock or something the best thing to do is use a small piece of epoxy putty to secure it in place. this is a semi permanent solution that will keep them from getting knocked over.. :)

you can get the putty at home depot for less than half of what you would pay at a LFS too. the stuff i use is called "plumbers putty" and is around $4 for a $12 tube from a LFS. it is the same thing, but the wrapper is not as nice. lol

yep, one thing to remember is not to place this directly on the tissue of the coral as it will cause problems..

Once that plumber's putty cures, I'd find it hard to believe that anything in your system could move the corals. I've got a glob of it on the front center of my seahorse display LR that I can't remove right now (coral died and all that is left is the glue). It's like concrete!
