Talkingreef is looking to begin sending out periodic news letters to all of its members.
the exact details of what will be sent out and to whom are still up in the air.
we may have content for all, or some premium content for Premium Members

for now i need to begin be getting someone (preferable 2 people) that are interested in writing for Talkingreef.

Serious inquiries only.

Skills:
looking for people that have some sort of writing experience, or are cabablt of showing me they can write semi-proffesionally. what i dont want is someone who has never done any writing at all.

Age:
im setting the requirement that the writers be at least 18 years old as of 1/1/2007

Experienced and reliable:
I need someone that has been around Talkingreef for a bit, who is into the community and the goals of Talkingreef, and is willing to make a commitment to the whole community, again, serious inquiries only

Expectations:
at this point i would like to set the expectations at producing a 1-3 page newsletter once a month. this newsletter will be a collaboration of the two people (if two are chosen) and will be approved and sent out by myself (to protect everyones personal email addresses)

Please post any questions here, if you would like to volunteer please PM me directly

good suggestion..
since im not extremely creative, i will start with some of the basics.
items like monthly community updates,
monthly wrpa up on whats been going on in the forums
a list of hot threads

then other ideas are (if i can get the right people)
a species of the month
tip of the month

stuff like that.

i know this is normal stuff, and i try to make TR bigger and better than the rest so im open to suggestions. i also want to make sure its a newsletter people want to read. if people don't want it its a waste of all our time.

maybe in the future we can have actual articles written.. :) (distant future im sure)

ok, it looks like we have our second author/editor in place

again, details will be announced soon.
at this point we will stay open for guest writers, if someone wants to write a part, section, tidbit, or just make suggestions we will use this thread for now, but i will formalize a process soon for that stuff

Rob,

I could volunteer to be a guest writer occassionally on any of the various topics I have written about on Reefkeeping and of course DIBS.
