I think I have this right but would just like to check. Is a 30g/L Sodium Chloride solution the same thing as 30% Salt (ppt)?

are you trying to get the right amount of salt for your tank?
if so you dont use standard salt, you need a synthetic salt mix.

please elaborate a bit so we can help you a bit better.. :)

I am wanting to calibrate my PinPoint Salinity probe. This is a reference solution but not solution from the manufactures of PinPoint

ah.. got ya.. ok that sounds better.. ;)

i have never used one or calibrated one.. i know they have premixes solutions for that..

its probably different, but with my refractometer, you just calibrate it to 1.000 using RO/DI water

Okay, I heard from Hanna. The 30g/l solution has a 3% by weight. The specific gravity is 1.0214.
