This is where I am at with my first saltwater aquarium.
Trying to do a 75 gallon FOWLR.
Thats a 20 gallon sump and I have 648 GPH right now but think I should have more circulation on the other side.
I hate powerheads and would like to put a closed loop system in but need help.

It looks like you are off to a great start. Thanks for sharing your setup and look forward to more pictures.

What will be your next purchase for the tank?

Well a closed loop system is pretty simple really. All you need is a pump and some pvc or flexible tubing. Not sure what part of it that you need help with.

A closed loop system is basically the same plumbing as a refugium/sump but without the tank and overflows. You just run your pump in-line with the piping so there is no dump off spot after it leaves the tank. It just runs right into your pump then the return line goes right back to the tank. The return side can be as elaborate as you wish. You can add a SCWD device to create motion. You can have it just come out of a bulkhead. You could add a spray bar to distribute the flow where you want...the options are pretty limitless on how you get the water to the tank.

Thanks I have it figured out just now I am looking at ways to make it look neat. And I am thinking a spray bar would be more efficiant but not sure of placement.Guess I am just looking for sugestions or maby diagrams of what would look the best and at the same time be the most efficiate? And also what size pump tp use.

Here's a photo of my spray bar on my 29g tank. The spray bar is around 24" I believe. You will probably want to use some type of hose clamp onto your stand to make the piping rigid. Also if you are putting in a spray bar then watch the podcast on plumbing. Rob goes through a good way to make a spray bar and how to position the holes.

yeah that's that intake. I used a plastic strainer from Marine Depot that fits PVC.
