Well it was time (way past) to replace the lights on the 75 gallon. I had 2- 20k Coralife 150 watt MH and 2- 50/50 Current 65 watt PC's. I was wanting something a little different. I bought 2- 12k Ocean 150 watt MH's and 2- Dual Actinic Current 65 watt PC's. I figure the Actinic PC's would give me the blueish cast that I like but get the better growth from the whiter MH. Now I don't think I thought this out that well. :roll: I have seen tanks with 10k bulbs that have a slight yellowish cast so that is why I went with the 12k. These 12k's have a yellow cast and the actinic PC's don't seem to help. My wife says she likes it better with the new lights. She says the corals stand out better. I dunno I like my blue tank. I think I would have been happier with the Current 15k like I have on my nano. What do you think? Is better coral growth worth it?
