I have seen amphibious's set up for puting rocks on top of 1.5 in pvc. I was wondering what anyone thought of the idea of putting eggcreate on top of the pvc instead of flat rock, becasue I am having trouble finding flat coral rock for the base. Input would be gladly accepted thanks.

Egg crate would work with caution on how far a span between the pillars and the amount of weight baring down between them. Error on the side of caution and you should be OK.

ok good thanks. I am going to be using 3 sets of 4 pillars for the egg crate to lay on, which should help disribute the weight.

Might also be advisable to cut slits in the pvc in order to make a much more stable base, just a thought.

Oh yea! good idea thanks:)
i have not done it at all, but when thinking about it, i think i would try it our with two layers of egg create. egg create can break, and this would make sure you dont break all the way through and it would help disperse the load better.. just a thought, thats all.. :)

still with a sand bed of any depth? or BB?
Sweeper jets/ conduet streams are a suggestion if your going the BB option
