I LOVED the jelly fish tank. I'd never seen one with lights like this before.

Cuttlefish are my fav too Rob! They have them, from time to time, at Skipton's Pet in Boston, but I know nothing about them in captivity.

Carmie... Thanks! I was in Seattle two years ago for business (for a week) and NEVER got the chance to go to the aquarium there! I LOVE that waterfront though. The hills...walking... a real and litteral "pain in the butt" though.

I love them too. The Newport Aquarium in Newport Ky has them and I never knew of them before visiting there. They said that they are amoung the smartest creatures on earth. If I remember correct they can color shift and be trained to do small tasks. How neat, thanks for sharing carmie!

not only can they color shift, but like many octopi they can shape shift.
there ability to color change is truly remarkable, you should head to a local library to see if they have any documentaries or research videos...

i swear everytime i see a show on discover, national geo, or science, i drop everything to watch it.. truly amazing creatures... watching them eat is awesome too... :)

ok carmie, didnt mean to turn your aquarium thread into a cuttlefish thread.. hope you can forgive me.. ;)

Cuttlefish are cute buggers but I have had WAY too many giant pacific Octopi, those guys are SERIOUS trouble makers! They were all great fun and friendly as can be but keeping one in it's own tank was a pain like none you ever witnessed.
