still no pics but i guess this makes it more challenging. i was moving rocks around to find something and i saw 2 of these things that look like a clear worm. it is about 2 to 3 inches long. i know this is difficult but i have no camera.

more than three inches because apparently it can extend itself and it has a feeding apparatus at the top of it that looks a little like a crown on a feather duster in terms of shape

That would be a peanut worm.

they come in all sorts oncolor. Tan, dark brown striped......

Describe it's movement to me.

There is something else called a medusa worm but they really aren't that common as a hitch hiker and are often mislabelled as such.

are u sure

LOL... and no, without a pic or a movement description I can't be sure.

I need to find the pics of my peanut worm on my camera's memory card. The problem is it is a 4gb card.... and it's full.

They are harmless little worms. Very interesting to watch. I have the tan ones liek the picture and a few striped ones. They are very cute.... well as far as worms go.

If it is a peanut worm then most of what I read is that they are beneficial and should be left in the tank, However i haven't read much lol. I would do my research just to make sure but i would say its ok to hang around until you are completely sure.

If you like you can check out Dr. Shimeks forum, If im not mistaken there is already a pretty good thread on peanut worms. I will try and find it for you..
