Hello all,
Just joined the other day. I've already read a lot of threads that will be very helpful. I still have a lot of reading to go....
I've been in the hobie since 1990. I currently have a 75 gal reef tank. I have a Clown fish that is twelve years old and survived a move from South Florida to Texas 11 years ago. I am looking to upgrade to a larger tank soon and hope to get a lot of helpful information here.
Any bit of advise I can get will be much appreciated.

Thanks for the welcome! Quick question, how do you direct a new post to a specific forum? I think I posted this in the wrong place and really meant it to go into the general discussion forum. Thanks for the help.

Welcome Scott!

Move completed sir ;)

As for your request for "advice", I suggest you look at the podcast directory & the forum directories and see if you find anything of interest. I think that there are some "tank move" or "tank upgrade" threads there that are powerpacked with info.

Otherwise, if you have any pointed questions, ask away. This is your new thread :) You'll soon find that there are a ton of folks with combined experience(es) here that are more than willing to help out.

Again, welcome!

Dave

As a newbie, I can say this site has a great feel to it. We just need to get the daily interactions up.

Hey, why can't we leave little business cards as the LFS asking peeps to come and chat?

Hello Scott! I'm new here too. I've lived in California for about a year now but lived in Corpus Christi before that. I miss Texas *cries*

sorry, i missed that one..
up at the top you click the forums (http://www.talkingreef.com/forums/)button.
this will list all of the forums..

simply click on the name of the one you want to post in, then once you are in that forum and see all its messages, you click "New topic" just as you did to create this thread.

as anyone from southern CA would... ;)

i was just giving Renee (Seahorsedreams) grief since she moved out here to be with me.

as for the posts, you should just go to the particular forum and make your post there. if this site is like most others, only mods or admins are actually able to MOVE posts from forum to forum. those magic decoder rings come in handy for that...

EDIT: Rob was too quick for me!

Thanks all, I see it now. I'm glad they have those decoder rings and they put me where I'm supposed to be!!!

Seahorsedreams: I like TX except in July, Aug and Sep. I really miss So Cal...

We spent the whole game last Sat on the phone with our son because we were on a train. Poor vacation planning on our part!

I didn't get to much of it either. My Son had a soccer tourny that day. I saw the first quarter. At the soccer game a dad had a little TV but in the fourth quarter the batteries ran out arhhhhhh!! So I got on the phone with my dad back home and he was giving me up-dates.. You got the best of both worlds, a vacation and up-dates on the game at the same time....
